What is Play together against cancer?
Play together against cancer is an initiative that allows creators and gamers to raise money for life saving cancer research while doing what they love most. Stream live, play games, sing, make music, or maybe just chat? Only together can we beat cancer.
Why participate?
Cancer causes approximately 1 in 6 deaths worldwide which makes it clear its a global challenge. Therefore, increased international cooperation is necessary, where different actors and countries can help each other.
Cancer knows no borders, no skin colour, and does not discriminate by age. The Swedish Cancer Society's vision is to beat cancer. By supporting top research, sharing knowledge about cancer, and influencing key decisions, we aim to make fewer people get cancer and more survive.
The next breakthrough is within our grasp – it is not a matter of if, but when. But, we need help to make it happen.

Why support the Swedish Cancer Society?
We at the Swedish Cancer Society work to beat cancer faster through financing the best cancer research. By funding the most prominent research, we are working towards ensuring that more people survive a cancer diagnosis and can live long lives with a good quality of life.
Research is, by its very nature, international, it simply takes place at different universities and laboratories around the world. And regardless of where research is conducted, patients everywhere benefit from the results. We fund over 600 research projects every year.
Today’s advanced research also relies heavily on international collaboration to achieve real breakthroughs. Most research leaders work across borders, and their findings are published in international journals, making the results accessible worldwide.
We are the largest charity in Sweden and since the start in 1951 we have helped to push the cancer survival rates in Sweden from 30 percent to 70 percent.
We are an independent, non-profit organization without governmental support. Our work relies entirely on donations from individuals and businesses and together we have contributed with over EUR 1,2 billion to cancer research.

All funds raised during Play Together Against Cancer will support the work of the Swedish Cancer Society. The money will go to financing leading cancer research in Sweden but also international research.
The Swedish Cancer Society finances research, spreads knowledge about prevention and cancer, provides information and support to those affected by cancer and influence decision-makers.
The goal of the Swedish Cancer society is to beat cancer.
How can I support Play Together Against Cancer?
You can start your own charity stream or support one of your favourite content creators streaming for the initiative.
