My sister is currently going through chemotherapy. She was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer mid July as the cancer has extended to the nearby lymph nodes. As a consequence of the chemotherapy She has lost her hair. Something that happens to many women in the world and can be an added stress and social stigma to the whole process of beating cancer. I want to show my support and help raise awareness of breast cancer by shaving my hair off. I want it to be a public event to hopefully make the most impact. Donating money will help fund research, earlier detection and better care for patients and their families.
